The room I stayed in was spacious and well-equipped, which really added to my comfort. The stylish decor throughout the hotel gave it a nice atmosphere. I faced some issues. The elevator malfunctioned frequently, which was frustrating since it was the main way to access my room. I noticed that the swimming pool area looked poorly maintained, with towels that had holes. The service at times felt inconsistent, especially at check-in when communication was a bit unclear.

The hotel sits right in the Ahr Valley wine region, boasting a scenic river view that's pretty hard to beat. The luxurious breakfast buffet features a massive selection of hot and cold dishes, including a surprising number of fresh fruits—definitely a high point of the stay.

The dining experience felt chaotic during peak hours, with the split between a la carte and half-board causing serious confusion. Some of the facilities seemed a bit dated, and the whirlpool area wasn’t up to snuff, which is a letdown for a place branded as upscale. To top it off, I found the firmness of the beds uncomfortable, which made for some restless nights. Parking was also a hassle, with the nearest lot costing 13 euros daily.
